Course Details
Learn to create a realistic drawing from what you see. This introductory class teaches the technical skills of observational drawing using a variety of media, including pen and ink, charcoal, pencil and pastel.
Students will learn a range of formal skills through exercises in the following:
- Quality of line
- Accurate observation of shape
- Gesture drawing
- Use of negative and positive shapes
- Using tone well
- Direct observation of spaces such as interiors, buildings or landscapes
With expert guidance from Denise you will learn a broad range of skills that can serve as a basis for advancing into classes in painting and assist and finding your own means of expression.
Basic materials provided.
You must be at least 16 years of age to attend this course.
