Course Details

Craft your own rings or pendant in this introduction to metal-smith jewellery making! In this quick paced one session workshop you’ll learn some metalworking fundamentals to turn raw silver, copper and or brass into shining wearable rings or pendant. 

Chain for pendant is not included but can be purchased for $30.

Minimum age is 13 years

Techniques:

  • Use sizers and jeweller’s callipers to measure ring size

  • Use files and sanding to refine and smooth metal edges and surfaces

  • Use hammers to form metal

  • Use jeweller’s flame torches to solder join metal

  • Use Dremel & bench polishers to refine & finish metal casts into wearable jewellery
