Course Details
In this course you will learn the basics of structure and perspective so you can draw anything you like. Returning students are assigned additional challenges in order to promote continuous development of their drawing journey.
We'll be drawing on paper with pencils and pens. There's a strong emphasis on learning structure and perspective drawing, with the aim to feel more confident in drawing anything - real or imagined. We will be drawing things from real life, from photos and from our imagination.
What you will learn in the class.
- Perspective - learning the basics to help draw forms and spaces convincingly.
- Using perspective to draw organic forms.
- The structure of human faces - Constructing the face to understand it.
- The structure of human figures - Drawing the body from the skeleton out.
- The structure of animal and creature bodies - Seeing the similarities to humans.
- Shading and shadows - Understanding light as it hits objects.
- Composition - Arranging elements in your picture.
- Using different B&W mediums like pencils, pens, inks.
This course is catered to ages 10 years or older.
