Course Details
In this course we will study the human figure through drawing and sculpture. Both mediums use close observation as a focus and encourage the study of the curves, angles, and subtleties of the human body to accurately depict it.
Students will be guided in experimentations with size and volume, as well as exercises that will sharpen one's attention to detail, improving an artist's overall observational skills and enhancing their artistry across all subjects and styles.
In this course you will -
- Learn how to imbue a sense of the models personality into your drawing and sculpture
- Learn different approaches to rendering the surface of your sculpture
- Explore traditional working methods in both drawing and sculpting
Course fee includes model, tutor, clay, necessary tools & equipment.
If you wish to keep your sculpture, you have the option to fire your sculpture in the Inverlochy kiln at the end of the course for an additional $50. The sculpture will be ready for collection 3-4 weeks later depending on drying conditions.
