Drypoint Printmaking Workshop T2.26

Course Details

Explore drypoint printmaking  with experienced local print maker Kirsty White.

In this workshop you will

• Learn to etch a polycarbonate plate
• Use steel needle point tools and wire brushes to create line and texture that will hold ink.
• learn to ink up your plate
• use mull cloth to achieve desired tone
• print on damp printmaking paper
• run this print through a second stage using the relief process of inking up and printing from a natural textured block

All materials supplied.  Half hour lunch break -bring a packed lunch to eat in the historic Inverlochy House or explore the local Te Aro cafes.  

Please note:

Wheelchair access into the school and Ceramics Studio is located at the top of the driveway to the left of the main house.  The Drawbridge Print Studio and the Upstairs Front Studio are accessible only via internal stairs.  Please get in touch at [email protected] to let us know how we can help.
