Course Details

Discover the hidden beauty of everyday objects in the darkroom, through the camera-less process of the photogram.

Explore the surreal beauty of everyday objects through the historic photographic process of the photogram. Working in the darkroom, you'll create striking black-and-white images without a camera - using light, photo paper, chemistry, and carefully chosen small items. Bring along objects and items to work with - jewellery, mementos, small ornaments - particularly those with interesting edges, varying translucency, or the ability to reflect or filter light. We'll experiment with pattern, tone and shadow, and you'll leave with a series of prints which provide a new perspective on the familiar.

All materials included.

You must be at least 16 years of age to attend this course.

One hour lunch - bring a packed lunch to have in our historic home or explore the local cafes in Te Aro.
