Course Details

Coptic binding is one of the earliest forms of creating a book, with raw simplicity you can produce a book of any size with the unique feature of opening out flat. No special tools or materials are needed and yet a wide spectrum of creative results can be created, from a notebook, sketch book and album to a highly crafted artwork. The books themselves can be made from found items, recycled material or quality art papers and card.

In this workshop you will be guided in assembling your chosen materials for your book, create decorative covers and learn Coptic binding - an elegant and simple binding that is unlimited in versatility. You will produce one bound book and one bound album. Once you have Coptic binding in your skill set you can produce your choice of books in any shape or form, for any purpose.

All basic materials supplied.
