Discover the secrets of sculpting by learning the techniques used to shape clay into stunning works of art. Hone your skills every week sculpting whatever subject matter you want, leading towards making silicon molds for creating a finished plaster cast if your work.
In this course you will learn how to:
- Understand and replicate planes and proportions
- Render the surface to create different textures
- Simplify forms to amplify the expression of your work
- Work from life and imagination
- Make quick armatures
- Make silicon molds
- Make finished plaster sculptures
In this course you will be learning with the malleable medium of plasticine (900 grams included) as it can be reused infinitely. If you choose to retain all sculptures from class, additional 900g plasticine pots are available for purchase for $30 as needed.
Suitable for complete beginners and more experienced sculptors alike.
Sculpting tools are available throughout the course.
