Due to numerous requests I have added a class for teenagers called Drawing and Painting for Teenagers to the holiday programme; we can taking bookings now for all next holiday courses, have a look at the programme. Our School Holiday Programme caters to 6 - 12 year olds while the Painting and Drawing for Teenagers caters to teenagers.

Janice Kingston is not taking any classes this term; she will be back for term 3.

Basia's Printmaking class has moved from Wednesday Morning to Friday Morning for this term; the Open Studio print on Fridays has moved to Wednesday Morning; the Monday Open Studio print runs as usual.

I have programmed a Painting Open Studio for Friday Mornings.

Painting People Tutor: Nick Cuthell The human form has provided inspiration for some of the great works of art from Classical Antiquity to the present, the Laocoon to Lucien Freud. Students will be encouraged to look to art history and to their own lives for inspiration in painting people. Working with traditional materials and approaches we will focus on painting people: working from the nude, the clothed figure and moving into portraiture.

Nick Cuthell Nick is a NZ artist who has been classically trained in the traditional atelier system most recently spending 2 years in Florence training at Charles Cecil Studios, he has also studied at the Art Students League of New York and the Slade School of Art in London. He has a solid grounding in technique and a well established practice with a particular focus on portraiture.  Nick has been based in London since 2009 and is excited to return to Wellington and to Inverlochy where he tutored in 2007.
