Gardener's Wanted!

Gardener's Wanted!

Fancy being part of a gardening group? We would love to have you on our team volunteering to keep the gardens weeded at Inverlochy Art School. Our energetic professional gardener, Veronica, has left for the South Island, and we need people to continue her good work. Approximately once a month and for as much time as suits you on the day. Please email co-ordinator: [email protected]

Printmaking Workshop 16 & 17 November

There is still time to enrol for the Print Making Workshop with Rosemary Mortimer. The 2 day workshop is being run in conjunction with the Printmaking Emporium 7 days of Print at Thistle Hall (7 - 13 November). The workshop has now been rescheduled for 16 & 17 November.

Rosemary's workshops are a great learning experience and a lot of fun. Our print studio has had a makeover so make the most of our facilities, it's a great way to be introduced to Inverlochy Art School if you have not been before.

Annual Exhibition Opened on 25 November 2016

Annual Exhibition Opened on 25 November 2016

Thank you all for making Inverlochy's Annual Exhibition a great success. The opening on Friday evening was well attended and the many artworks on show attracted a lot of interest. The weekend brought in more visitors and we were blessed with good weather  allowing the garden and Inverlochy House to shine.

Inverlochy will now be back to it's normal programme now. Please have a look for our Summer School programme and Term One programme for 2017.

Term 4: Course Dates & Annual Exhibition change

Hi All

Term 4 is a little different this year as we are bringing forward the Annual Exhibition to run during this term. The Exhibition will be opening on Friday 25 November and run over the weekend until Sunday afternoon, 27 November. We believe the Annual Exhibition at the end of the Year rather than the start of the following year will allow more visitors and participation.

We will be cleaning, painting and hanging the Exhibition during the week and so the school won't be open from Monday 21 November until after the exhibition. Term 4 classes resume on Monday 28 November.

Start dates for term 4:

Week 1 – Monday 17 October
Week 2 – Tuesday 25 October (No classes Monday as Monday is Labour Day)
Week 3 – Monday 31 October
Week 4 – Monday 7 November
Week 5 – Monday 14 November
Week 6 – Monday 21 November. Annual Exhibition week, no classes this week for preparation; 21 - 24 November and exhibition on 25 - 27 November.
Week 7 – Monday 28 November
Week 8 – Monday 5 December
Week 9 – Monday 12 December, finish 16 December.

There are 8 weeks of classes for all days except Monday. Monday classes are 7 weeks long due to Labour Day and to avoid having our end date too close to Christmas — class fees have been adjusted to reflect the shorter course.

We always appreciate volunteer help with the Annual Exhibition and of course your artworks entered in the exhibition. Many thanks for your understanding and support and we look forward to seeing you during term 4!
