In October Brian and Jane from Brass and Glass Photographic Alchemy came to Inverlochy to teach an exciting, introductory workshop. Students crafted their own portrait tintype and experienced the magic of silver
and light combining to create the 19th century tintype. Tintypes are created in an authentic bellows camera, processed under red light in a darkroom, then washed, dried and varnished. With care, the
priceless heirloom photograph will last for decades without fading or
changing colour.
