'Ducky Time Out' - Inverlochy themed painting by Rieko Woodford.

Rieko Woodford-Robinson is a professional artist and illustrator from Japan who moved to New Zealand just over ten years ago. While her main work is illustrating childrens’ books Rieko also creates magical little paintings incorporating acrylic painting and screen-printing.

Rieko has taken a number of classes at Inverlochy and last year she had her first exhibition of her paintings at the  Deluxe Café in Wellington.

Reiko has an exhibition of new work - including the painting below - coming up soon at Thistle Hall in Wellington between the 28th of November and the 4th of December, 2011. The opening night(all welcome) is on Monday 28th from 6pm.

This painting - 'Ducky Time Out'  illustrates a naughty young animal sitting at the bottom of the stairs at the art school.  Inverlochy tutors actually do make naughty children sit on these stairs!
