The Imperfect Pull - New Prints by Noa Noa Bassewitz

On a warm spring evening the  of Noa Noa's print exhibition here at Inverlochy, in Wellington, was a convivial and exciting place to be. Noa Noa's exhibition explores themes, Rona, the Maori mythical woman in the moon and the vagaries of printmaking and life in general, hence the term the imperfect pull; from Noa Noa's own website:

The Imperfect Pull wood-block print series is based on the Maori myth of Rona and the Moon. Female forms and mystical creatures cavort in the moonlight. There is yearning, there is movement, there is unease and there is loving connection. Come and discover your own inner animal. Be drawn in but don’t let the moon steal you away!
The exhibition is open until 24 September, 9.30 am - 5pm daily. Limited edition prints and T-shirts are available.
