Bruce Mahalski Tutor profile image

Bruce learned to screenprint for avant-garde Auckland fashion house Virus, before starting his own screenprint clothing business, Fantastic Life. As well as producing clothing inspired by New Zealand's natural history, the business became well known for its colourful children's apparel.

In recent years he has concentrated more on pure design and art including the publication of a children's colouring book designed to educate the young about conservation. Bruce has also designed and drawn cartoons for publications that include the cult pop culture magazine 'Rip It Up'. He has had exhibitions around the country and has taught screenprinting at Wairarapa Polytechnic.
